Reborn Four Seasons Pet Bed
Background
The Reborn pet bed adapts to the seasons. The cushion can be used in cooler weather or removed in summer to expose the raised slatted base.
Design Thinking
Sketches explored bolsters, low openings, and raised bases. The design uses a low, open frame that pets can step onto from different sides.
Process
The frame drawings show the overall dimensions, corner radii, and slat profile. Parallel slats form the bed surface, and rounded feet raise it off the floor to leave room for air to circulate.
Outcome
The memory foam cushion has a removable, washable suede-fabric cover and attaches to the frame with hook-and-loop straps. The frame and cushion can be replaced separately, and the base has non-slip feet.
